Samsung Galaxy Trifold launch possible in 2025, per leaks

Samsung is reportedly developing a tri-folding smartphone expected to launch before the close of 2025. The device, possibly named as the Samsung Galaxy G Fold, could merge the functions of a smartphone, tablet, and laptop.
Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold series, which features a single fold, the trifold design expands into an extra-large display that promises productivity potential.
Although Samsung has shown off trifold prototypes before, new leaks reveal more information about the upcoming device.
Samsung’s Galaxy AI appears to play a major role in the trifold experience. In one leak, the Samsung Internet browser uses Galaxy AI directly on the large display, suggesting tighter integration between AI tools and multitasking.
Other clips show a floating call windows, app mirroring and a portrait mode, expanding its usability beyond standard landscape tablet layouts.
Leaks also point to a 100x zoom camera option, a feature. If confirmed, the Galaxy G Fold would be the first foldable to include a periscope zoom lens.
When Will the Galaxy Trifold launch?
Samsung MX head TM Roh previously hinted that the company’s first trifold device could launch by the end of 2025. With multiple leaks surfacing in recent weeks, speculation points toward an unveiling at the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.
If Samsung sticks to schedule, the Galaxy G Fold might be unveiled with new Z Fold and Flip models.
Samsung’s trifold could redefine mobile computing in several ways by providing a larger foldable screen removing the need for separate tablet.
