With an increase in the school’s population, KNUST together with Mastercard Foundation (MCF) have partnered to construct the International Students Hostel as a way of accommodating the student body.

The new hostel is a 6-storey building that houses around 800 beds, offices, a car park, plus a magnificent architectural design.

Per reports, the Mastercard Foundation Hostel will accommodate international students.

The KNUST MasterCard Foundation (MCF) hostel has quickly become a centre of attention in KNUST.

Ever since its completion, it is hard to ignore the bright lights and beautiful architectural design of the hostel.

The building complex is situated on campus in between Hall 7 and Africa Hall.

According to Mr Oberko, University Relations (KNUST), the hostel is part of KNUST’s plans to accommodate students through the construction of new residential and academic facilities.

KNUST’s New Projects

Many students are expected to gain admission to various universities following the implementation of the free SHS policy.

The university has various projects lined up for the 2020-2021 academic year. These include the Medical Village at Boadi which will be the learning centre for Medical, Nursing and Allied Science students.

At the time of writing, the building has been completed but not furnished (with beds etc.) and there has been no word about the official opening of the hostel.
