Hot or Cold?: Samsung Galaxy A54 Pros and Cons
The Galaxy A54 is a midrange device in Samsung’s A-series which offers top features for relatively lesser prices.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A54 along with the lower-priced Galaxy A34.
This post will explore the Galaxy A54’s strongest features (Hot) as well as the less favourable aspects of the device (Cold).
Hot
- Samsung Galaxy A54 has a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1000-nit maximum brightness perfect for viewing and should have no trouble when viewed under sunlight.
- The camera design on the Galaxy A54 takes after the flagship S23 and S23+, maintaining a uniform design across devices. Also, Samsung got rid of the 5MP depth sensor which many believed offered no additional benefit to image quality.
- The Exynos 1380 processor on the device has improvements over its predecessor of last year. On paper, this processor has improvements to gaming and overall function.
- Having a 5000mAh battery, Galaxy A54 should last a full day for the average user.
- The Galaxy A54 which runs on Android 13 out of the box will receive 4 more Android updates and 5 years of security updates.
- You can choose from White, Purple, light Green and Black if you purchase the Galaxy A54.
Cold
- Compared to Galaxy A53, the newer device has a lower megapixel size (50MP vs 64MP). Megapixel sizes do not always tell the full story of how good a phone’s camera is.
For that reason, field tests will give a better idea of the A54’s camera quality.
