Huawei has launched its eagerly anticipated Mate Xs 2 smartphone for the global market.

The foldable smartphone was initially announced in China on April 28.

The Mate Xs2 looks quite a lot like its predecessor Huawei Mate Xs, however, there are some differences.

The Mate Xs 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC, coupled with 8 GB RAM and up to 512 GB internal storage space.

The Huawei Mate X 2 sports a similar design to the Mate Xs. It folds outward into a 7.8-inch OLED display, but when folded inward it offers a 6.5-inch display.

The smartphone has a punch-hole at the right corner and a metallic frame with slim bezels. You can find the fingerprint sensor on the side of the device.

With the Mate Xs 2, you’re getting a triple rear camera setup of a 50MP main camera, 13MP ultra lens and 8MP telephoto lens which has up to 3x zoom.

The front-facing camera is a 10.7MP lens, which was not present in the Mate Xs.

The smartphone has a 4600mAh battery that has an extra 100mAh over the Mate Xs. It supports 66W fast charging.

As stated earlier, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 888 and comes with Android 12 and Huawei’s HarmonyOS

The flaw with most foldable smartphones is the glaring crease when they are opened to full display. Huawei Mate Xs 2 seems to have done a better job at hiding the crease than is the case for other foldables.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 will be available in June with prices starting at €1,999 in most European countries.
