OnePlus has set the official date for the launch of its first foldable device for October 19.

Alongside the date, OnePlus has also announced the name of its its inaugural foldable as OnePlus Open.

OnePlus Open’s design, as showcased in various images shared online, hint at a sleek and metallic finish. OnePlus Open will feature high-end specifications across board. Among which are are a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 16 RAM and a Hasselblad-branded camera system.

Display

One of the standout features of the OnePlus Open will feature a 7.8-inch OLED display when unfolded while the cover display will be 6.31 inches with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Storage

The smartphone is rumoured to offer a staggering 16GB of RAM with up to 1 TB of storage. This combination promises fast performance and ample space for all your apps, and media.

Camera

The camera capabilities of the OnePlus Open are expected to be nothing short of exceptional. The primary camera is a 48MP wide sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
