Galaxy Z Flip 5 to Feature Smaller Gap, Bigger Cover Display

Renders of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

Images of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 have begun circulating online. They confirm a key feature of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 – its large 3.4-inch cover display.

A recently unveiled video also reveals a slight gap when the flip phone closed.

The larger 3.4-inch cover screen is designed to allow users to interact with various applications, including Google Maps, Messages, and YouTube.

This enhanced integration comes as part of Samsung’s goal of optimizing these apps for the external display, providing a functional experience for Galaxy Z Flip 5 users even without opening the device.

Upon unfolding the Galaxy Z Flip 5, users will be greeted with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset. The front of the phone features a 12MP wide camera and a 12MP wide-angle camera, ensuring impressive photography.

Users will find a 10MP selfie camera, promising stunning self-portraits. Rumours have also circulated about the device’s colour options, which may include beige, grey, light pink, and light green.

The eagerly awaited unveiling of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is scheduled for July 26th during Samsung’s highly Unpacked event.

This event is set to feature not only the Galaxy Z Flip 5 but also the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Additionally, the event is expected to showcase the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Tab S9.

The Galaxy Unpacked event will be available for streaming on Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel on July 26th.
