Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 Unveiled at Unpacked Event

During the Galaxy Unpacked event held in Seoul, Samsung made several announcements including introducing the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Tab S9 and Galaxy Watch 6.

The focus of Samsung’s promotions prior to the event centred on the Z Flip 5. For the new flip, they showcased tools such as Flex Window, Flex Mode ad Flex Cam – highlighting upgrades to the cover display, hinge and cameras.

Galaxy Z Fold 5

There are a handful of improvements for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Good enough for anyone to upgrade coming from the Z Fold 3 or previous models.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 unfolds to reveal a 7.6″ AMOLED screen and has been given an impressive IPX8 water resistance rating. The camera includes a 50MP wide, 12MP ultrawide and a 3x optical zoom 10MP telephoto sensor.

The video features are second to none with up to 8K@24fps for the rear cameras and up to 4K@60fps for the 10MP cover camera.

The Z Fold 5 supports 25W wired charging which should juice up its 4400mAh to 50% in 30 minutes.

Galaxy Z Flip 5

The star of the show – Z Flip 5 gets a larger cover display of 3.4 inches. The cover display allows for more uses now that it’s bigger. You can watch videos, check weather, and stocks and have a larger canvas for your selfie previews when using the Flex cam.

Another notable feature is the new hinge which allows the flip phone close fully without a gap.

The Z Flip 5 a is equipped with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, a 6.7-inch 120 Hz display, and an enhanced dual 12MP primary camera.

Galaxy Tab S9

For users seeking a larger-screen experience, Samsung introduced the new Galaxy Tab S9 Series – S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra.

Boasting a 14.6″ Dynamic AMOLED display, the Tab S9 Ultra is the largest of the three. The tablet features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 11200mAh battery and up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM.

Galaxy Watch 6

The return of the rotating bezel on the Watch 6 series has been one of interest for Galaxy fans. The Watch 6 Classic and Watch 6 are the newest addition to the Galaxy wearable collection.

The Watch 6 series have an IP68 water-resistant rating and run OneUI Watch 5.

Compared to the Watch 5, the Watch 6 has an extra 15mAh of battery capacity but maintains 10W wireless charging abilities.
