Meta’s expansion aims to empower eligible creators and boost the creative industry in Nigeria and Ghana

Facebook’s parent company, Meta, has announced that creators from Nigeria and Ghana will now be able to earn money from their content on Facebook starting July 1.

Creators can earn money by creating original videos and cultivating communities through In-Stream Ads on Facebook and Facebook Ads on Reels, as stated by the company.

Eligible creators

Eligible creators in said countries who want to enjoy ad benefits must pass and maintain compliance with Facebook’s Partner Monetisation Policies and Content Monetisation Policies, and must be at least 18 years old.

Creators in said countries who are interested in receiving ad benefits must meet Facebook’s Partner Monetisation Policies and Content Monetisation Policies, as well as being of legal age, which is at least 18 years old.

In addition, to be eligible for In-Stream Ads, creators have at least 5,000 followers.

In-stream ads can appear before, during, or after on-demand video, whether it’s pre-recorded content or when a live stream is published.

Upon approval, you’ll earn a share of the revenue every time someone watches an ad on your Reel. The more views and ad engagement your Reels receive, the more you can earn.
