Google I/O 2022 Highlights: Pixel 7, Buds Pro, Watch and more
Google’s annual product and software conference took place yesterday with exciting announcements and some teasers.
Now that the event is over, let’s take a look at what happened at Google I/O 2022 in detail.
Pixel 6a, 7 and 7 Pro
Last year, Google launched the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Now, they’ve introduced the Pixel 6a, which is a bit watered down on specs but has a lesser price in effect.
Also, Google gave us a sneak peek at the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
Based on that, we can expect it to come with Android 13 and Google’s Tensor SoC.
Pixel Watch

Earlier in the week, I posted a story on the Pixel Watch weighing in on the possible features of the smartwatch.
While Google remained tight-lipped on a lot of details, we got to see the appearance of the Pixel watch for the first time, officially.
With that said, we’ll have to wait till somewhere in October to get all the official specifications.
Google Glass

CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai gave us a taste of what might be the next step in Google’s AR technology.
A short clip showed glasses with capabilities to translate speech in real-time.
Pixel Tablet

Google announced that the Pixel tablet is currently in the works and will be available for sale sometime next year. Google didn’t hint at any details, aside from the announcement.
Pixel Buds Pro

The Pixel Buds Pro are Google’s newest audio device. They support multi-device connectivity and active noise cancellation (ANC).
You can preorder the Buds Pro on July 21 starting at $199.
Expanding skin tone variety

Google is working on incorporating skin tone scales to search results that will help you identify whether or not different products are a good fit for your skin tone.
