WhatsApp does not have an inbuilt feature that allows you to schedule a text, however, with some third-party apps you can do this.

SKEDit

SKEDit is a freemium Android app that lets you schedule Whatsapp texts for a later time. SKEDIT also enables you to schedule messages on Whatsapp Business, Telegram and email. With SKEDit you can add attachments like files and photos to your texts.

  1. Install SKEDit and sign in
  2. Tap on the + icon and select WhatsApp
  3. Tap on the + button again and select a contact
  4. Type your message and enter the time and date.
  5. Tap the checkmark button at the top right to schedule the text

Shortcuts (iOS)

iOS users do not require a third-party app, they can schedule WhatsApp text directly from their phones using the Shortcut app.

  1. Open Shortcuts, then choose automation
  2. Tap on the + icon and then select Create Personal Automation
  3. Set the time and date of the message, then tap Add action
  4. Select text from the option and type in your message
  5. Tap + and type Whatsapp then send a message through WhatsApp
  6. Add a recipient and click next
  7. Tap on the notification pop-up that appears and tap send.
