Infinix launches 1st foldable – Infinix Zero Flip
Infinix has joined the foldable smartphone trend by launching its first device, the Inifinx Zero Flip.
Display
The Zero Flip features a 6.9-inch AMOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate which offers a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. On the front, the phone has a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display with a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels. The Zero Flip offers Corning Gorilla 2 Protection on both screens.
Performance and AI
The Zero Flip, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It runs on XOS 14.5, (based on Android 14) and is expected to receive two Android version updates and three years of security updates.
Infinix incorporates an AI interaction system, aiming to elevate user experience through AI-assisted photo and video functions, noise reduction and audio tuning to deliver optimized sound performance.
In addition, the integration of Google’s Gemini chatbot allows users to manage tasks such as translation, searching, and summarising text effortlessly.
Hardware
The Zero Flip has dual rear cameras consisting of a 50MP primary lens with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Additionally, there is a 50MP selfie camera positioned within the punch-hole cutout on the main screen.
All three lenses can have support for recording in 4K at 60fps and integrate with GoPro cameras, allowing users to use the main screen as a viewfinder. The phone is equipped with a 4,720mAh battery, supporting 70W wired fast charging.
The durability of flip phones is a major concern, the Zero Flip addresses this with a 400,000-fold hinge designed for long-lasting use. The device’s exterior is made of scratch-resistant Corning glass, offering resilience against accidental falls.
The Infinix Zero Flip is available in Rock Black and Blossom Glow colours and is priced at $600.
