The multi-national telecom company, MTN, has announced its intention to rebrand its services.

The rebranding process will start with a redesign of MTN’s logo as a way to signify how the brand has evolved from a telecommunication company to one that provides more digital solutions for customers.

This is part of MTN’s “Ambition 2025” strategy aimed at building the largest and most valuable platform business with a clear focus on Africa.

MTN currently leads the data market in Ghana with over 10 million subscribers and this growth is expected to increase exponentially in the coming years.

There has been a big focus on the logo change, however, the MTN’s digital expansion plans also deserve a bit of the shine.

Last year, MTN Ghana CEO, Selorm Adadevoh highlighted the company’s focus on Fintech solutions. This included opportunities for digital commerce, Tax payments and even artificial intelligence projects.
