New Galaxy Z Fold SE will not have S Pen support
Samsung unveiled the Special Edition (SE) version of the Galaxy Z Fold, a slimmer and lighter model compared to the recently released Galaxy Z Fold 6.

- Main display: 8.0” AMOLED
When folded, the Z Fold SE measures 10.6mm and when unfolded, it measures 4.9mm. The phone is 1.5mm thinner compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, to achieve a reduced thickness, Samsung had to make a compromise regarding the S Pen functionality. As a result, the Galaxy Z Fold SE won’t be compatible with the S Pen.
Despite its thinner design compared to previous foldable Samsung devices, the Galaxy Z Fold SE is expected to exhibit remain durable. It boasts an armor aluminum frame, similar to its predecessors, ensuring strength and resilience.
Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold SE incorporates Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for both the front and back glass panels, further enhancing its durability. The phone features an IP48 water resistance rating to provide protection against water damage.

The Galaxy Z Fold SE boasts several upgrades compared to its predecessor. These include an increase in RAM from 12GB to 16GB and storage capacity from 256GB to 512GB. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powers the Z Fold SE, allowing support for the Galaxy AI suite of features seen on the Fold 6, including Google’s Circle to Search.
