OnePlus 11 was announced for the global market at an event in India on February 7.

Hot

The Hot section highlights the beautiful parts of the device including upgrades and useful features.

Processor

OnePlus 11 employs the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset making it fit perfectly in the flagship category.

RAM

The 16GB RAM variant gives OnePlus 11 an advantage among competitors with RAM capped at 12GB. With 16GB, running apps should be as smooth as can be on this smartphone.

Camera

A slightly bigger 50MP main camera (versus OnePlus 10 Pro’s 48MP) in collaboration with camera-making company Hasselblad leaves little to worry about the quality of images produced with the phone.

Fast Charging

OnePlus 11 supports wired charging of up to 100W (80W for US models). This translates to less than 25 minutes needed to get your device from 0 to 100%.

Battery

In addition to supercharging features, OnePlus 11 has a 5000mAh battery which should last an impressive amount of time before needing a charge.

No Wireless Charging

OnePlus 11 does not support wireless charging nor reverse charging. Quite a bummer seeing as last year’s models had support for them.

Reduced Optical Zoom

The device also falls short in the optical zoom department with only a 2x zoom to boast of.

Smaller Pixels on Selfie Camera

The 16MP selfie camera of the OnePlus 11 noticed a drop (versus OP 10 Pro’s 32MP). The drop may not necessarily result in low image quality however it may take field tests to confirm this.

Decision

OnePlus 11 could be this year’s flagship killer since it has some of the best features available to smartphones today despite selling for $699.

OnePlus 11 is a great choice if you value high-tech features at a competitive price. However, if wireless charging is a priority for you, then you should consider other devices.
