The dynamic island on Apple’s iPhone 14 was the marquee marketing feature for the pro versions of the device.

‘Dynamic Island’ offered users a creative way to get quick notifications for various apps like music and Uber arrival times.

Soon after, Android manufacturers and developers began planning how to create their version of the glorified notification bar

A few apps were released that gave Android devices the look and feel of the Dynamic Island but none were truly built-in as the iPhone 14 had.

Until now.

Realme’s new device – Realme C55 is now the first Android device to have a native ‘Dynamic Island’ lookalike. Realme calls it the Mini Capsule.

Realme’s Mini Capsule stretches out from the phone’s central hole-punch camera, similar to the iPhone 14.

The capsule can display the phone’s charge status, data usage, and well as step count for fitness lovers.

Realme C55 will certainly not be the last Android phone to feature the Apple-inspired design element. Rumours point to Huawei Nova 11 as the next device to adopt the Mini capsule.

Realme C55 is currently on sale in India and other parts of Asia, however, a date for its global release remains uncertain.

The 6.72-inch device powered by Helio G88 processor sports a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Only time will tell if this one feature can help sky rocket sales for this device. Even so, add the mini capsule to its specifications and you have an interesting budget Android phone.
