Samsung’s brand new flagship Galaxy S22 is set to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event in February.
As the launch draws near, it’s common for leaks about the specs and pricing of devices to pop up.
Let’s take a look at some rumoured details of the Galaxy S22 series

Display
The newest iteration of Samsung phones will include a punch-hole at the top centre along with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy S22 will come with a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. S22+ will feature a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED touchscreen display and S22 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen

Camera
The Galaxy S22 and S22+ will have a triple camera setup made up of a 50MP primary lens, 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto lens. Both devices will also feature a 10MP front camera.
The Samsung S22 Ultra, on the other hand, will come with a 108MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 10MP telephoto lens and a 40MP selfie camera

Software – OneUI 4.1, Android 12 and Exynos 2200
The Samsung S22 series will feature an Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage.

The S22 will have a 3,700mAh capacity while the S22+ and the S22 Ultra will pack 4,500mAh and 5,000mAh batteries respectively.
Pricing
With less than two weeks to go, we can only speculate on the details at this time. The official unveiling of the Galaxy S22 series will take place on February 9.
It’s rumoured that the S22 start at around $799 (approx. GHS 5,000), while the S22 Plus will go for $999 (approx. GHS 6,000). Galaxy S22 Ultra is believed to cost roughly $1,199 (approx. GHS 7,500). These prices are just rumours for now. The actual prices will be announced at the launch.
