Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Launched

The Galaxy S24 mobile series becomes Samsung’s flagship line of 2024. The lineup features three devices- S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra.

One of The biggest upgrades across the board this year is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy which is featured in these devices.

Those in Europe will be have an equally powerful processor in the Exynos 2400.

The chipset is primed to handle graphic-intensive games, video editing, multitasking apps and several A.I.-related functions.
All three phones will run on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 put out the box. There will be support for seven Android OS updates.

Samsung Galaxy S24 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S24 comes with a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
The display quality on the device is nothing short of crisp and clear. Outdoor the same brilliance is evident due to a peak brightness of 2600 nits which cuts across the series.

Featuring an IP68 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus 3 protection you can be sure your device can withstand falls and scratches with ease.

Galaxy S24 has a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary wide-angle sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. On the front, it sports a 12MP selfie camera.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi direct, and a USB Type-C port.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S23 with a 4000mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The battery capacity is a slight bump up from the S23 model.
The device is capable of charging up to 50 per cent in 30 minutes. It also comes with Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy S24+

The Samsung Galaxy S24+ has plenty of similarities with the Galaxy S23 including a Dynamic AMOLED display, refresh rate, IP68-rated dust & water-resistant build, cameras and connectivity options.

However, it features a bigger 6.6-inch display.
The Galaxy S24+ packs a 4,900mAh battery that supports a 45W wired charging set to deliver up to 65 per cent charge in 30 minutes. It supports 15W Fast Wireless Charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Available models for the S24+ have either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra specifications

Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is the top of the series smartphone, features a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED Display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Like the S23 and S23+ models, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, along with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

It comes with a quad rear camera setup, led by a 200MP wide camera, 12MP ultra-wide, a 10MP telephoto, and a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter with 5x optical zoom. In the front is a 12MP camera.
Separating it from the S24 and S24+ is the S Pen stylus support handset.
It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging and 15W Wireless Charging with support for wireless charging.

Price, Availability, and Color

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is priced at $800 for the base 8GB/128GB variant. Samsung Galaxy S24+ pricing starts at $1,000 for the 8GB/256GB option. The S24 Ultra starts at $1,300 for the base 8GB/256GB storage variant.
The smartphones are available for preorder and will go on sale starting from January 31.
The devices are available in the traditional Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender.
