Is the Galaxy S25 Ultra the Peak of Android Excellence?
Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The device boasts incremental improvements in software and, most notably, artificial intelligence which has been a key focus for Samsung in its newest generation of smartphones.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra adopts the familiar Galaxy S series design but adds a flat titanium frame and rounded corners.

Design and Build
Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with QHD+ resolution, a 120 Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10+, Vision Booster technology for optimized display under intense lighting, Gorilla Glass Armor 2 protection, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Processor

Powering the device is a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset from Qualcomm, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. Pre-installed on the device is One UI 7 with seven years of updates promised for the device.
Galaxy AI

Samsung and Google have teamed up to enhance the software in the Galaxy S25 Ultra with advanced AI, including Gemini for voice-activated tasks.
This functionality is possible because Gemini can understand voice, text, images, and videos; it also offers deeper app integration for suggesting actions based on-screen content and tracking activities.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s One UI 7 includes the Now Bar, the bottom of the lock screen, providing activity summaries, quick app access, media controls, and more.
The Galaxy S25 retains all the AI features from last year’s Galaxy AI platform, including;
- simultaneous translation
- note summarization
- voice-to-text transcription
- Circle to Search
- Drawing Assist (which helps convert ideas, sketches, and text into drawings).
Battery and Charging
The Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 5,000 mAh battery and fast charging capabilities (45W wired, 25W wireless & 4.5W reverse wireless).
Camera

Sporting impressive photography capabilities, the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x zoom.
Each sensor boasts optical image stabilization, ensuring sharper, clearer images.
Samsung’s new ProScaler technology enhances the photo and video quality of shots, delivering sharper images and richer colours. Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra videos now use Audio Magic Eraser (like Google Pixel’s) to remove unwanted sounds (voices, cars, etc.) and highlight important ones.
With Gemini Live, the Galaxy S25 Ultra from Samsung offers advanced generative editing capabilities; analyzing images for AI-driven improvements, object removal, and even avatar creation via Portrait Studio.
