Tecno Camon 40 Series Gets 3 Major Android Updates & 5 Years of Security

Following the launch of the Camon 40 series in March, Tecno has announced significant software support, promising 3 major Android updates plus 5 years of security patches for the entire lineup.

In the past, Tecno phones often received one or two major updates, or in some cases, none at all. However, with the Camon 40 series, that narrative is changing.

Given that all models will initially ship with Android 15, users can look forward to receiving updates up to Android 18.

Tecno AI-Powered Features to Watch

Tecno has been making significant strides in design, AI capabilities, and overall device quality.

With the Camon 40 series, Tecno is embracing a sleeker and refined design language for their phones.

The Camon 40 Premier, in particular, feels almost like a flagship, rocking a 3x 50MP camera with an IP69 rating ensuring water and dust resistance.

On the AI front, Tecno has several upgrades to look forward to.

Tecno’s AI Vision suite features AI Erase which removes people or objects from photos, AI Portrait Beautification lets you define your own look, and AI Cutout lets you select and extract parts of an image to share in chat or create new images from.

The Camon 40 Series also comes with Google’s Circle to Search, AI Writing, AI Call Translation, and Call Summary.
