In May, Twitter launched separate counts for ‘Retweets’ and ‘Retweets with Comments’ within the tweet detail. Twitter has now renamed ‘Retweets with Comments’ with ‘Quote Tweets’ on the main tweet display.
This change may seem a bit scrupulous but Twitter has been working on making its platform less complicated to use; owing to several feedback reports suggesting that Twitter was, for some, difficult to figure out.
For Twitter, ‘Quote Tweets’ is straightforward and easier to find.
For starters, it’s not a big functional change, but it’s a useful one, and it’ll make it easier to make out how people are interacting to every tweet, and possibly inspire, similar reactions to tweets.
