WhatsApp may have a shortcut to Messenger Rooms soon

WABetaInfo.com hints that WhatsApp may potentially support Facebook Messenger Rooms.

WhatsApp is experimenting with a feature that adds a shortcut to Messenger Rooms.

The feature is an integrative approach to link Messenger Rooms with WhatsApp, Facebook App, Messenger, Instagram and Portal (Facebook’s smart display device).

With this integration, you can create a “Room” that can be accessible by other users via a sharable link.

Facebook is looking to challenge Zoom with this integration since users do not have to install extra software but can access the service directly through WhatsApp.

This feature is currently under development, but it could [possibly] be rolled out in the coming weeks.

What do you think of Messenger Rooms in WhatsApp?
