Isn’t that how many of us save new contacts to Whatsapp?

Not for long!
Whatsapp is testing a feature that will allow users to add contacts easily via QR codes.
Users will soon be able to create and show their QR code to other users who will then scan it and have the contacts saved directly on their phone – without having to manually type in their number.
This shortcut will make it easier for direct user-to-user sharing.

The feature is currently available to beta testers. We can only expect it to roll out in the coming weeks.
Do you think this feature is long overdue?
