Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 to launch on July 26

Samsung has long been a pioneer in the field of foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series have garnered significant interest among users worldwide. Samsung is set to launch its 5th generation folding smartphones – the Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 on July 26.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to feature a larger outer screen compared to its predecessors. The Z Flip 4 incorporated a 1.9-inch cover display, which is smaller compared to the 3.4-inch display the Z Flip 5 is expected to have.
The Z Flip 5 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which Samsung recently implemented in the Galaxy S23 series.
Samsung is looking to improve on three crucial areas to further enhance its foldable offerings namely the camera, battery and hinge design.
Camera improvements are anticipated and the Z Flip 5 should incorporate better and larger sensors, as well as an upgraded selfie camera, to address concerns about camera quality.
Battery life is another aspect that Samsung can improve. While the Z Flip 3 featured a 3300mAh battery, Z Flip 4 improved upon it with a 3700mAh battery.
A report suggests that the Z Flip 5 will have longer battery life due to chipset optimization and not necessarily from a larger battery.
Samsung may also refine the hinge mechanism to minimize the visibility of the crease on the Z Flip 5. Furthermore, the two sides of the foldable display may lie flat against each other, eliminating any noticeable gap.
With just a few weeks remaining until the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, it is exciting to see the route Samsung takes to maintain its position in the foldable segment against the likes of Oppo, Vivo, Tecno and Google,
